Has no one noticed that national debt doubled over the past 3 years?

Debt is now at 14 trillion but the media acts like its not a problem anymore. I remember seeing 6 trillion a few years back and thinking that was ludicrous. I feel like were creating a giant bubble that will have to burst at some point and then what? What are your guys' opinions?
