How can bamboo plants tolerate strong winds while the banana can't?

take a bambo and hit it on your hind leg,you will know-just kidding.Since the surface area of the bamboos top is relatively less to the moment arm the (tree bottom) bamboos cannot capture so much air unlike the banana.
