Do I need a licence for a shinai?

Do I need a licence to buy, own or transport a shinai (kendo training sword) in the UK? I wish to buy and own a 47" (inch) shinai. But is it legal? I know that there are restrictions on blades but what about a bamboo sword? Thanks for any help. Please do not give me your opinion, I need actual law.
