Fault accident, Sorting ourselves, do i have to report?

Why dont you just phone your insurance company and explain the situation to them? They will be able to tell you when and if you should put a claim in. They are used to people sorting out minor damage themselves without resorting to insurance claims. And this way at least you have informed them of whats going on, so that if you do need to make a claim they are already aware.
